Website and language preferences

This website uses no advertising, third-party analytics or tracking scripts. A language preference is stored locally only when you switch languages. Animation preferences are also local. The admin portal uses an HttpOnly session cookie. Signed iOS and HarmonyOS downloads require admin authentication. The server may keep operational, security and error logs.

SMS and phone numbers

Phone numbers are submitted to the identity service and Alibaba Cloud’s verification service to send and verify SMS. The identity service stores account names, nicknames, friend relationships, approval preferences, keyed phone hashes, challenges and rate-limit records. It does not separately store SMS recipient numbers, passwords or verification codes in plaintext. A user-entered code passes transiently through the service for verification.

Messages, metadata and clearing

Messages and attachments use Matrix end-to-end encryption. The server still processes account, device, public-key, room, time, IP and traffic metadata needed for communication, and stores encrypted events and attachments. Local in-memory timeline clearing does not guarantee erasure on the server, peer, runtime copies, system backups or exported files.

Permissions and preview limits

Photos and files are chosen through system pickers. Microphone access is requested for voice-message recording. Device identity verification, persistent key recovery, cross-device destruction and live calls are unfinished. Use test content, and contact the administrator providing your service for test-account requests.
